Itty Bitty Shark!

This itty bitty jasper shark with gold-lip mother of pearl eyes was carved by Cody Chavez.  The gills, fins and tails are perfect.

Sharks are one of the greatest predators of the seas.  They have been around for millions of years and range in size from about 7 inches to 40 feet.  There are probably sharks that humans haven't discovered yet, the ocean being such a huge place.  Honestly, we've given them a pretty bad rap for all the good they do in the ocean.
