Buffalo, or American bison, roamed the plains in the millions from Northern Mexico into Canada before colonization. Buffalo are sacred to many Native American people. They provided so much the people needed: food, clothing, leather to line tipis and make parfleches which are beautifully painted rawhide containers, tools, and so much more. There has been success in recent years to bring the buffalo back to the plains, especially to Native American tribes on the plains.

Moles are underground creatures who hold a special place for many Native Americans as guardians of Mother Earth. Some of them can barely see, yet they navigate their way through the dark earth with great skill. They can be helpful for assisting in understanding our own deep internal landscape. Currently seen by many people as pests, they have the important role of keeping the underground aerated and lived undisturbed for hundreds of thousands of years before humans arrived.
Traditionally, Zuni carvings are symbolically fed cornmeal. Each Zuni fetish comes in a box with a descriptive card and a tiny bit of corn meal to tide them over until they reach you.
