The wings have inlaid stones and shell, including turquoise, dolomite, abalone, jet, and spiny oyster shell. More about owls below.

Owls are birds of the night who fly silently with excellent vision. Some of us are lucky enough to hear the swish of their wings as they fly by, or their gentle hoots. They, as do most raptors, owls communicate between this world and the next.
Traditionally, Zuni carvings are symbolically fed cornmeal. Each Zuni fetish comes in a box with a descriptive card and a tiny bit of corn meal to tide them over until they reach you.
